Titre:
IDH-Mutated glioma and pregnancy: Présentation de l’équipe de neuro-oncologie du Centre Rabin Medical Center et discussion autour du projet de recherche commun
Résumé:
Advances in the treatment of IDH-mutant gliomas have markedly increase survival, leading to an increasing number of women of reproductive age facing pregnancy However, the impact of pregnancy on tumor progression and malignant transformation remains poorly defined. Potential mechanisms include the influence of pregnancy-related hormones, growth factors, hemodynamic changes, and even fetal cell infiltration into the tumor microenvironment. Given the clinical importance of counseling women with glioma regarding pregnancy we propose to conduct a comprehensive, multi-institutional study integrating clinical outcomes, imaging, and molecular profiling.
