DESCRIPTION:- Titre : Projected Dynamics in Control: Challenges and Insight
 s\n\n- Résumé : In many modern control applications\, ensuring that syst
 em trajectories remain within a desired set – often for safety or perfor
 mance reasons – is a central concern. One promising approach to enforce 
 such forward invariance is through projected dynamical systems. While proj
 ections are well-known in optimization\, their use in control is less wide
 spread\, partly due to the discontinuities they introduce in the closed-lo
 op dynamics. These discontinuities raise fundamental questions about the w
 ell-posedness of these dynamics and the behavior of their solutions (exist
 ence\, completeness\, uniqueness). Moreover\, tools to address the stabili
 ty of projected dynamical systems are lacking. In this talk\, I will prese
 nt some of our recent results addressing these challenges\, and share a fe
 w open problems and directions we are currently exploring.\n\n- Biographie
  : Riccardo Bertollo received his PhD in Mechatronics Engineering from th
 e University of Trento (Italy) in 2023. Since then\, he has been a postdoc
 toral researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands)\,
  working within Maurice Heemels’ ERC Advanced Grant project PROACTHIS. H
 is research focuses on the analysis of hybrid and nonsmooth dynamical syst
 ems\, with particular emphasis on their application to control problems in
  robotics and mechatronics. In 2023\, he was the recipient of the “Best 
 Italian PhD Thesis in Automatic Control” award.\n\n- Lien Teams : clique
