 édecine - Teams link\n\nAbstract: We developed a four-channel photon coun
 ting based Stokes polarimeter for spatial characterization of polarization
  properties of Second Harmonic (SH) light. In this way\, the critical pola
 rization parameters can be obtained concurrently without the need of repea
 ted image acquisition. Various polarization parameters\, including the deg
 ree of polarization (DOP)\, the degree of linear polarization (DOLP)\, and
  the degree of circular polarization (DOCP)\, are extracted from the recon
 structed 2D Stokes vector based SH images in a pixel-by-pixel manner. The 
 Stokes vector measurements are further extended by varying the polarizatio
 n states of the incident light and recording the resulting Stokes paramete
 rs of the SH signal. In turn this allows the molecular structure and orien
 tation of the samples including collagen fibers\, skeletal muscle fiber\, 
 and starch granules. The combination of SHG microscopy and Stokes polarime
 ter hence makes a powerful tool to investigate the structural order of tar
 geted specimens.\n\nBiography: Dr. Nirmal Mazumder is an Associate Profess
 or at the Department of Biophysics\, Manipal School of Life Sciences\, Man
 ipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)\, Manipal\, India. He obtained his
  Ph.D. in 2013 from Institute of Biophotonics\, National Yang Ming Chiao T
 ung University\, Taipei\, Taiwan under the guidance of Prof. Fu-Jen Kao. F
 rom 2013 to 2016\, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of
  Virginia\, USA\, and the Italian Institute of Technology\, Genoa\, Italy.
  He has been developing nonlinear optical microscopes\, including two phot
 on fluorescence\, second harmonic generation\, coherent anti-Stokes Raman 
 scattering for biomedical applications. His research interests include dev
 elopment of microscopy-spectroscopy techniques\, biomedical devices\, biop
 hotonics\, smart materials\, microfluidics and its biomedical applications
 . He has published more than 100 research articles in the peer-reviewed in
 ternational journals\, 11 books\, 32 book chapters\, and several poster/or
 al/invited presentations in National and International conferences. He hav
 e been recognized as scientists ranked in top 2 percentile by c-score in t
 he sub-field for the year 2023\, 2024. He is working on several national a
 nd bilateral research projects funded by Government of India as Principal 
 Investigator. He is also working as the reviewer/guest editor/associate ed
 itors in several prestigious journals. He is the member of several nationa
 l and international scientific societies and organizations including\, the
  Optical Society (OPTICA) (Senior member)\, SPIE—the International Socie
 ty for Optical Engineering (Senior member)\, Society of Biological Chemist
