  Vehicle platooning is a canonical benchmark problem in automatic control 
 and networked systems\, capturing the interaction between dynamics\, commu
 nication\, and scalability. While classical results on string stability of
 ten rely on idealized communication assumptions\, practical platoons opera
 te over unreliable wireless channels that introduce randomness through pac
 ket losses\, delays\, and intermittent connectivity.\nIn this talk\, I wil
 l present an overview of our recent work on stochastic string stability of
  vehicle platoons operating over unreliable communication channels. I will
  motivate the problem from a networked control perspective\, outline the m
 ain theoretical ideas behind stochastic stability guarantees\, and explain
  how these differ from classical deterministic analyses.\nI will also high
 light ongoing and open research questions currently being explored with my
  students\, including resource-aware communication strategies and event-ba
 sed mechanisms. The talk will conclude with a brief overview of our experi
 mental platform\, which enables validation of these ideas on small-scale p
 latoons.
